SciFi Diner Conversations 66 – Listener’s Discuss the Fringe Premiere, The Rumored Shannara Series, Other Fall Series And More.

Hi Guys
What a great show and a ton of info to digest, I will start with the rewind and go from there.
My opinion of Star ship Troopers you really don’t won’t to hear it since you said this is a family type show so I will keep my opinion to myself enough said. Now for your next rewind show you guys should do Blade Runner for a rewind I am sure you would enjoy it that’s my vote on the next rewind. Next here is my list of shows that I am currently watching god help me:
1: Fringe
2: Revolution by the way I going to give this show my full attention for this first season I hope it does not disappoint me.
3: Alphas
4: Grim
5: Person of Interest
6: Once upon a Time
7: The Big Bang Theory
8: Supernatural
9: Warehouse 13 I know it’s over and it was another great season but I had to add it.
10: Hell on Wheels: Yea I know it’s not sci-fi but I got a soft place in my heart for westerns and this is the best to come out in many years.

Some of these shows will be moved off my list as more important shows arrive for the fall like Game of Thorns, The Walking Dead and a few others so there will be some shoveling around as the season unfolds.

Now I would like to make a comment about the possibility of the Book The sword of Shannara going to the small screen. (And Scott I do pronounce Shannara the same way as you do and I think that we are right on how it’s pronounced.) If it somehow ends up on some cable station it could be another Game of Thrones but if it ends up on the net works it would most likely be screwed up. I read this series right after I read Lord of the Rings back in the 70s and I loved it and still do. In fact all of Terry Brooks’s books should be made not on TV but all should go to the big screen like Wizard first Rule and many others.

One last thing your classic rewind interview with David Nykl was very good but all to short I could have thought of some more questions to ask. I just think that his show (Stargate Atlantis) ended about 2 season to early all well we don’t get everything we won’t.
